Hot meals are available from a variety providers and can help ensure that people receive proper nutrition on a daily basis.

You can have meals delivered to you at home or you can choose to have a meal in a social setting like a day centre or lunch club. Alternatively, you could arrange for a carer to come into your home and support you to prepare a meal.

Diabetic, low carbohydrate, low fat, soft diet, gluten free and low sodium, as well as vegetarian, Halal, Kosher, Asian and African-Caribbean meals are available, depending on which supplier you buy your meals from.

Who can get hot meals?

Hot meals delivery services are usually available to anyone, but may only deliver to specific areas of Birmingham. Lunch clubs and day centres offering meals in a social setting may have certain criteria that limit access like, for example, a minimum age restriction. You should check with the provider to make sure they can provide you with the service you need.

You will need to arrange your service directly with the provider. If you are unable to make your own arrangements, please contact us on 0121 303 1234 and we will support you to do so.

How much does it cost?

The cost of the meals depends upon which meals you buy and which organisation you buy them from. You will have to pay for the full cost of your meals.
