Birmingham Local Area Profiles - economy & labour market
Shortcut to this page:
Economic and labour market information at a ward and constituency level can be accessed from this page, along with information on deprivation. Birmingham has 10 constituencies, with four wards within each constituency. Looking at data and analysis at this level can highlight differences which city wide figures disguise.
Constituency Economic and Employment Profiles
The Constituency Profiles provide detailed information on the local economy and labour market for each of the ten constituencies. Each report is divided into three sections:
- Labour Supply
- Deprivation & Household Income
The profiles are based on the constituency boundaries used for the 2010 General Election.
The Ward Factsheets provide an economic data overview, mainly based on the 2011 Census, for the 40 Birmingham wards and are available for download below.
Index of Deprivation
This publication provides data on deprivation in Birmingham by ward and constituency, based on the 2010 Index of Deprivation. It also includes a comparison with other core cities.
