From April 2012, Connexions Birmingham offers a different type of service to young people.
Our main business is to provide impartial careers information, advice and guidance to young people who are not in education, employment or training (NEET), have a statement of educational needs or are part of an identified vulnerable group - which in some cases includes if you are still currently at school. Please see our website for further details.
If you think this applies to you, why not contact Connexions Birmingham? It’s a free, friendly and confidential service for all young people aged 16 -19 who are NEET (or up to age 25 if you have a learning difficulty or disability) or if you are in school we may be able to see you if you are part of a vulnerable group or your school are purchasing a service.
Connexions Birmingham can help you make the choices that are right for you, supporting you through the transition from NEET to learning, employment or training. You can talk to a Connexions Personal Advisor (PA) one-to-one to get information, advice and guidance on all sorts of things including:
- Advice and information on job hunting skills and interview techniques
- Access to computers to search vacancies on the web
- Information about Apprenticeships, Training and College places available
- …..and much more.
We also provide a wider universal careers information, advice and guidance service to some schools in Birmingham who are buying this service from us. If you represent a school or institution that wishes to use our services please contact us on 0121 675 6128.
