There are many pressures facing families nowadays, expectations of parents and children to achieve are high. All families may need support at times from other family members, friends, their local community or professionals.
This website has sections for parents and practitioners and provides information about services provided by Birmingham City Council with links to national information, advice and guidance.
The parents section is structured to reflect child development as follows:

The practitioners' pages, whilst predominantly guidance papers surrounding family support in children's centres and the parenting strategy, are applicable for practitioners in a much wider context.
