We provide social care services and support to people in Birmingham who have mental health difficulties, and to their carers. We work closely with staff from Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust to promote mental health wellbeing.
Our services aim to:
- support people to recover from periods of difficulty with their mental health
- support people to stay as independent as possible
- provide support that is person-centred and gives people choice and control in their lives
- provide information and advice about mental health services and about taking care of your mental health.

How to get mental health services
To find out if you are eligible to get a service from us, you will need to talk to us about an assessment of your care needs. Our contact details are at the end of this page. You may contact us yourself, or you may be referred to us by your GP or by another service.
If you have an assessment, we will do this with you and with your carer (if you have one).
If the assessment shows you are eligible for a service from us, your social worker will work with you to make your support plan. Your support plan includes details of:
- what you want to change in your life
- what support you need to do this
- who you want to provide that support and when.
