Planning Application Fees

Shortcut to this page: www.birmingham.gov.uk/planningfees

You will have to pay a fee to apply for planning permission (unless you are entitled to an exemption or concession). The fees are payable when you submit your application to us. Please note Your application will NOT be processed until we have received the correct fee.

Planning application fees are set nationally.

Problems calculating your fees?

Some additional help is available but if you have any queries please contact us.

The Planning Portal Fee Calculator can assist you by working out the cost of any particular planning application. It takes the form of a series of 'yes or no' answers from which data is compiled to calculate the total cost of the application ranging from a simple householder development to large scale schemes such as housing schemes or industrial estates.
