Social Cohesion & Community Safety O&S Committee, Tuesday 10th March 2015 – 2.00 pm, Committee Room 2, The Council House
Members will hearing from Councillor Jess Phillips on the work of the Police and Crime Panel during the year and also what Councillor Phillips has been doing in her role as the City Council’s Victims Champion.
Members will also receive an update on the work and forthcoming priorities of the Birmingham Community Safety Partnership.

Birmingham Economy & Transport O&S Committee, Friday 13th March at 10am, Council House
Members will discuss the Road Safety Strategy with the Cabinet Member for Social Cohesion, Equalities and Community Safety. The City Centre Retail Strategy and Public Realm Strategy; and the Birmingham Snow Hill Masterplan consultation will also be discussed.

Partnerships, Contract Performance and Third Sector O&S Committee, Monday 16th March 2015 – 10.30 am, Committee Rooms 3&4, The Council House
The Cabinet Member for Commissioning, Contracting and Improvement will outline his forthcoming priorities and update the Committee on the progress he has made on areas within his portfolio and linked to the current Council’s business plan.
Members will also receive an update briefing from the City Council’s Highways service and partners Amey on the performance of the Highways Management Contract since they last attended Committee in November 2014.

Districts & Public Engagement O&S Committee, Tuesday 17th March at 2pm, Council House
The Committee will be discussing devolution and localisation with the Leader, Chief Executive and Strategic Directors for Place and People.

Education & Vulnerable Children O&S Committee, Wednesday 18th March at 2pm, Council House
The Committee will receive an update on work undertaken since Trojan Horse to develop an interim procedure for the selection, appointment and removal of local authority nominated school governors.
Following the committee’s report to council in December 2014 on child sexual exploitation, the Committee will revisit this and agree further work that needs to be undertaken.

Health and Social Care O&S Committee, Wednesday 25th March at 10am Council House
The Committee will receive an update on the findings from the recent Urgent Care consultation; information from Birmingham Community Healthcare about Healthy Villages Complete Care; a report about developments at the new Birmingham Dental Hospital and the Local Performance Account 2013/14 which summarises adult social care performance, changes, challenges and improvement plans.

Meeting papers can be downloaded from Democracy in Birmingham First select the correct Meeting Body Type “Scrutiny (Current)” and then the relevant committee from the Meeting Body dropdown list.
