Aegon Classic 2013
10- 16 June - Edgbaston Priory Club
The Aegon Classic tennis tournament is set to cause a stir in Birmingham, with some of the world’s top female players all lining-up to compete at the Edgbaston Priory Club from 9-16 June 2013 as they begin their preparations for The Championships, Wimbledon.
The event, which is just five minutes from Birmingham City Centre, is played on grass courts and adult tickets start from just £10 on Monday 10 to £30 on finals day.
With rising British stars Heather Watson and Laura Robson both competing in 2012 alongside other world-class players including Daniela Hantuchova, Sabine Lisiki and Jelena Jankovic, you can be assured an all-star field.
2013 sees the return of Ladies Day, a stylish day out for you and your friends that will take place on Thursday 13 June.
There will also be the Centre Court Grand Opening on Sunday 9 June, where a special exhibition match will take place involving two greats of the game. Access to the grounds is free on this day, with adult centre court tickets costing £15 and child tickets £5.

Sainsbury's Grand Prix
World class athletics returns to Birmingham for the Sainsbury's Summer Series.
Birmingham's Alexander Stadium will kick-off the outdoor season in spectacular fashion, as some of the best Paralympic athletes in the world will compete in the Sainsbury's Grand Prix - Birmingham on Saturday 29 June. This event will welcome some of the stars from last year's London Games including six time Paralympic champion David Weir, just three weeks before the IPC World Championships in Lyon.
On Sunday 30 June, the prestigious IAAF Diamond League returns to the UK for the star-studded Sainsbury's Grand Prix - Birmingham. A world class line up of athletes will descend on Birmingham including Great Britain’s Olympic medallists Mo Farah, Greg Rutherford, Robbie Grabarz and Christine Ohuruogu all live in action. They will be joined by a cast of international stars including as Carmelita Jeter, the second fastest woman of all time.
Athletics will remain in the West Midlands for the Sainsbury's British Championships - Birmingham on 12-14 July, where Birmingham’s Alexander Stadium will welcome over 600 of Britain's best athletes as they bid for selection for the IAAF World Championships in August.
