This year’s St Patrick’s Day Parade will take place on St Patrick’s Day itself, Sunday 17th March 2013. The highlight of the festivities starts at 12 noon with the annual balloon release. The theme this year is ‘The Gathering’, which encourages anyone of Irish descent to pay a visit back home to the county, town and/or village of their ancestry.
The parade – which is organised by the St Patrick’s Festival Committee in partnership with Birmingham City Council, will include Pipe and Drum Bands, along with vintage motorbikes, classic cars and Willie “Fergus” Finnegan’s massed tractors plus many decorated floats.
Everyone is invited to join in the fun and celebrate.
