Walks in Parks and the City
2km Walks
Most of the 2km routes are way-marked with a combination of wooden signposts and green footprints. A map for all the walks can be found online. Many of the routes are accessible for those with a disability or for families with pushchairs.
5km Walks
There is a leaflet for each of the 5km walks, which includes a map and directions. Leaflets can be picked up at the parks visitor centre and libraries. They can also be downloaded and printed out by following each of the links below.
- Cannon Hill Park
- Edgbaston Reservoir and Summerfield Park
- Perry Park
- Sheldon Country Park
- Shire Country Park
- Sutton Park
- Woodgate Valley Country Park
Just walking the trail is fine, but you could also use it to jog or run and even as a practice route for 5km fun runs. It's a great way to exercise outdoors and meet new people. See our walking groups page for more information about group led walks in your area.
Taking regular walks such as walking to work or your local shops, walking your children to school or walking for pleasure is a free and easy way to stay fit, and protect the environment through reducing your C02. We suggest that disabled people and families with pushchairs contact the Ranger Service prior to their visit for details on accessibility and ground conditions.
