Activities for Birmingham's Young People
Birmingham Youth Service provides a variety of services and activities across the city. Most are organised in geographical areas to meet the needs of young people locally and a few are organised centrally.
Many of the activities and services include:
Clubs and Centre Based Workeg: Youth Centres, Information and Advice Shops.
Streetworkeg: Youth workers engaging with young people on the street.
The Central Team includes work delivered through:
Clubs and Centre Based Workeg: working with other agencies to improve and increase work with young people including the delivery of alternative education programmes.
Developmenteg: delivering city-wide events and activities to young people and working with communities to develop community cohesion.
Training and Curriculumeg: training staff and young people, supporting staff in delivering the curriculum and citizenship work.
Quality and Planningeg: working with staff to monitor and improve the quality of the work that the service delivers.
