Wedding Fayre
Sunday 12 October 2014

Join us again this year for our ever popular wedding fayre. You will be able to view this beautiful building and gather ideas for your forthcoming wedding. There will be a variety of suppliers exhibiting, supported by bridal fashion shows by The Wedding Club.

Ghost Stories by M R James and Halloween Disco
Friday 31 October 2014

Warnings To The Curious is an original one-man stage show based on some of the Edwardian era’s greatest ghost stories. Atmospheric with flashes of macabre humour, it’s guaranteed to raise the gooseflesh and to make you fear that perhaps there ARE such things as ghosts. Disco the night away until 12.30am. Hog roast included (vegetarian option available).

Chocolate Indulgence Afternoon Tea
Sunday 2 November 2014

For all you chocolate lovers! Enjoy hot chocolate with marshmallows, a pot of tea or freshly ground coffee. You will be served a selection of finger sandwiches, chocolate pastries, chocolate chip scones along with other chocolate goodies. Chocolate demonstrations by More Cocoa. Your table will be yours to enjoy for 1½ hours, afterwards you are welcome to explore the house and grounds.

Highbury Hall by Candlelight

Find out about the history of Highbury Hall, Joseph Chamberlain and his family and the ornate architecture of this decadent Grade II listed building, lit by hundred’s of candles. Mulled wine and mince pies will be available for sale as well as other light refreshments. Chamberlain memorabilia will be on display with guided tours available for only £3.50 per person.

Christmas Craft Fayre Weekend
Saturday 22 and Sunday 24 November 2014

Our annual Christmas Craft Fayre Weekend. Last minute Christmas shopping for unusual personalised gifts, a variety of stall holders including; hand made jewellery, cupcakes, hand made soaps, Christmas floral decorations, candles and much more. Mulled wine and mince pies will be on sale

Murder Mystery Dinner and Christmas Party Disco

An ideal office Christmas party or social gathering, back by popular demand. Highbury Hall is the perfect venue to get together with friends and family over a tasty festive meal. If you think you’re a budding Inspector then this is the event for you. Afterwards to you can boogie the night away.

Christmas Afternoon Tea

Come to Highbury Hall dressed for Christmas and enjoy our Christmas themed afternoon tea in Victorian surroundings. Christmas music will be played throughout the hall by the Hickman Duo.

You will be served a variety of scrumptious finger sandwiches and cakes. Twinings everyday tea, Earl Grey and a selection of herbal teas for you to choose from. Your table will be yours to enjoy for 1½ hours, afterwards you are welcome to explore the house and grounds.

Highbury Hall's rooms of interest, memorial library and grounds will be open for you to view.

Charles Dickens Feast of Festive Frighteners and Christmas Party Disco

A splendidly-spooky collection of Charles Dickens's lesser-known Christmas ghost stories,hosted and performed by Victorian pawnbroker Gabriel Grubb and his longsuffering apprentice, Master Snodgrass. Vengeful skeletons, haunted railway lines, and more macabre frights lie in store for audiences brave enough to step inside... Followed by our disco.

Comedy Night and Christmas Party Disco
