Conditions of Letting for Entertainment

1. All Electrical Equipment to be used must have been P.A.T Tested within the last six months
2. Equipment only to be sited as directed by the Duty Manager.
3. Access times to be agreed with management.
4. Electrical Power Consumption NOT to EXCEED 3 kilowatt
5. The Council shall not be liable to the Hirer for any loss or damage to the electrical supply or system in the Accommodation caused by usage of equipment by the Hirer.
6. The Council shall not be liable to the Hirer for any loss or damage to any articles, goods or property brought into the Accommodation by the Hirer or any other person except to the extent that such loss or damage arises out of any negligence of the Council, its employees or agents.
7. The Council holds a licence from the performing Rights Society Ltd. For the performance of copyright music under their control and the Hirer shall ensure that the necessary returns are made as required by the said Society.
No music or stage play, the copyright of which is vested in any other person or society shall be performed unless sanction has been obtained from the copyright holder.
8. If the Hirer uses any gramophone, tapes, cassettes or a like method of reproduction at the Function, he shall be responsible for the payment of any fees which thereby become due to the Phonographic Performance Ltd. Or the Performing Society Ltd. or any other person.
9. Only minimal decorative lights permitted or as prior agreement with the Management.
10. No gas-filled balloons, paper streamers or smoke machines are to be Used.
11. No bolts, nails or tacks are to be driven into any part of the Accommodation or the furniture thereof.
12. No wax or powder shall be placed on any floor
13. No live animal and no article or appliance, which is dangerous or offensive, is to be brought into the Accommodation.
14. The Hirer shall make no alteration, addition or variation to the lighting or other electrical installation except by the prior written consent of the Management.
15. Stage fittings, decorations, flags, emblems or posters are only affixed to or in the Accommodation
with the prior written consent of the Management
16. Amplifiers/Speakers not to exceed height of 4ft. 6ins
17. Music to cease playing within twenty minutes after bar has closed.
18. All equipment to be cleared/ moved off site within thirty minutes after playing music has stopped.
19. Vehicles used in loading and unloading equipment must only be parked as directed by the Duty Manager.
