If you already have a Leisure Card with advanced booking rights you can reserve courts and pitches 8 days in advance without payment, until the day you play.
When booking on line booking card privileges only apply if all transactions are related to booking a court for badminton, squash or football.
Adding memberships and/or courses during the same transaction as a court booking will require payment for all items in the basket.
Advance booking rights may only be used by the person to whom they are issued (i.e. Leisure Card holder) and are valid for 12 months from the date of issue
The booking right is strictly not transferable.
Telephone bookings and bookings made online may be made up to 8 days in advance.
If booking on the 8th day bookings can be made from 8.00am, bookings for days 1 – 7 can be made at anytime.
Customers must quote their Leisure card number when booking.
Only one session per customer, per activity, may be booked on the 8th day.
Multiple bookings may be made in advance from the 7th day.
Customers must confirm all bookings by showing their Leisure Card at reception and paying in full.
Cancelled bookings will not be charged provided that 24 hours notice is given.
Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the booked time will be charged at the full fee, unless the court is re-let.
If a customer fails to show up for a booking the full fee will be charged.
If you are a debtor you will have to pay for all further bookings at the time of bookings until the debt has been settled.
If you are rebooking an activity at a lower price you will not receive a refund for any difference in price
If you have a Standard Leisure Card or Passport to Leisure Card you can reserve courts and pitches 7 days in advance but will be required to pay for your booking at the end of the process.

If you are cancelling a booking you will not receive a refund.
In compliance with the Data Protection Act 1998, information collected from Leisure Card applications will be added to the Leisure Card database. Birmingham City Council may also use this information for administrative and service communication purposes. All information will be treated confidentially and will not be shared with other organisations. We have a duty to protect the public funds we handle and, to this end, we may use the personal information you have provided for the prevention and detection of fraud. We may also share this information with other organisations, which handle public funds for the same purpose.
Birmingham City Council is committed to eliminating racial harassment and attacks. The City Council reserves the right to withdraw without compensation the Leisure Card of any person deemed to be in breach of its anti-harassment policy.
Birmingham City Council reserves the right to withdraw the card and its advantages if the user abuses the scheme, other customers or staff, or makes a false application. The card will become invalid if tampered with in any way
The loss or theft of a card must be reported immediately
An administration fee may be charged for replacement cards
The administration of this scheme is computerised and therefore registered with the Data Protection Registrar in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998
If you wish to cancel a membership option and apply for a refund you need to contact the reception at the site where the membership is allocated.
Your Leisure Card must be presented on each visit to gain access. If you are on the Be active scheme, or a discount scheme like Passport to Leisure, you must present your card at each visit or the full charge will be required. A fee will be charged for lost or damaged cards.
It is your responsibility to advise us if any of your details change. If you have not used your card for three years, we will delete your records and bonus points.
The scheme is open to all Birmingham residents living in properties that pay their council tax to Birmingham City Council.
Leisure Cards will be issued only on production of two proofs of name with the same address. We will accept any of the following:
For customers living in residential hostels and similar communal accommodation, then a letter on official letterhead confirming residential status of the customer and signed by the manager of the hostel is acceptable
Customers are required to show their Leisure Card every time they visit the centre for free access to the facilities.
Failure to show the Leisure Card means customers will be asked to pay for their session in full (no refunds).
A charge will be made for replacement cards.
Customers are asked to treat staff, other customers and the facilities with respect.
Anyone behaving in an abusive or threatening manner, or using inappropriate language, will be asked to leave the premises and their membership will be suspended pending an investigation.

Should an application for a direct debit payment be declined, Choice membership will be suspended until the account is paid in full
Minimum contract period three months, you can cancel in the cooling off period which is before the first payment is taken from your bank account.

Passport to Leisure Choice members must renew their PTL membership every 12 months. If you cease to qualify for PTL, the full Choice package price will apply

Before using a sunbed at a Tropics tanning centre, you must first obtain a Leisure Card all customers will be shown how to use the sunbed safely by a member of staff and asked to sign a declaration form attached to the Tropics leaflet
You can only book sunbeds if you are 18 and over, have had an induction and have sunbed user rights set up on your Leisure Card.

If you have any doubts about whether you should use tanning equipment, please seek medical advice from your doctor or pharmacist. Further advice on safe tanning can be found on the Health & Safety Executive posters in each Tropics tanning room.
UV will not affect your unborn child, but you are advised to consult your doctor before using a sunbed.
We recommend you follow the exposure times given and that you do not exceed 20 sessions per year. We also insist that you do not have more than one session in any 48 hour period.
After 20 sessions you will be reminded that you have completed the maximum number of sessions per year as recommended by the Health & Safety Executive. It is our duty to remind you when you have reached the maximum number of sessions.
Junior Pulse Point 14 & 15 year olds must bring proof of age and a letter of consent from parent or guardian to their initial session.
Adult supervision may be required, contact your local centre for details.
When you, or your child, join a course, you will also need a Leisure Card. You will then be entitled to priority re-enrolment on any subsequent courses providing you re-enrol at the appropriate times.
Courses must be paid for in full at the time of booking.
If you, or your child need to cancel the course after payment has been received, you will be required to apply for a refund. This can be done either in writing to the centre manager, via the contact centre or using the self service online form. The refund request will be investigated and a decision made on an individual basis.
Strokes swimming lessons run four 12-week courses each year, with two-week breaks at Christmas and Easter.
Strokes offer swimming lessons for all ages and abilities
For young children aged four months to five years who love to play in water.
For confident three year olds and nervous four to five year olds.
For children aged four and over who are confident in shallow water and who are able to follow instructions.
For children who are confident in deep water and who are able to:

Designed to cater for individual needs. The pupil-to-teacher ratio has been kept low with this in mind.
Whatever your age, it is never too late to learn to swim.
To enrol your child must be at least 4 years old.
