Public Register of Environmental Information: Pesticides
Register of enforcement notices
The register contains copies of enforcement notices issued by the Heath and Safety Executive (HSE) and local authorities (for agricultural and non-agricultural pesticides). Contact the Health and Safety Executive for more information.
In a limited number of cases enforcement notices are issued by the Pesticides Safety Directorate (for agricultural pesticides only, generally referring to conditions or product approvals). These are notices requiring companies or individuals to cease and desist from certain activities or take specific action in relation to the use of pesticides.
Initially an application to see data on a particular pesticide should be made in writing to the Information Section of the http://www.pesticides.gov.uk/, or for non agricultural pesticides, the Pesticides Registration Section of the Health and Safety Executive.
Pesticide evaluation documents
The Pesticides Safety Directorate and the Health and Safety Executive (for non-agricultural pesticides) publish priced evaluation documents on new pesticides approved under the Control of Pesticides Regulations since 1986, and older pesticides reviewed under the UK review programme. If you still have questions concerning these pesticides, you can see supporting data held by PSD and HSE. The information consists of the evaluation document plus data packages submitted by companies to support their application for approval of their product. The packages will contain data concerning efficacy, toxicity, operator exposure, residues and pesticides chemistry, environmental fate and behaviour and ecotoxicology.
