Provisions shall be made at no cost to the Council at the Development Site and on the adjoining public highway to prevent the deposit of mud dust and other materials on public highways by vehicles and plant leaving the site of the Works
Information has been prepared by the Environmental Protection Unit (EPU) of the Council to assist contractors and developers in understanding the restrictions which apply to construction/demolition work. These restrictions are put in place to protect nearby residents and businesses.

For all works within or adjacent to the public highway the Developer shall, during the progress of the works, make arrangements for the safety, protection and stability of all structures, walls, fences, hedges, trees, land drains, sewers and apparatus, and he shall also be responsible for rectifying or repairing at his own expense, any damage to private or public property that may have been caused by his operations.
