Around Rubery and the Lickey Hills
Martin Hampson

The Lickey Hills were also known as the 'Hampstead Heath' of Birmingham. They were a major tourist attraction in Birmingham during the late nineteenth and early twentieth century. Although the former country villages of Barnt Green, Cofton Hackett, Rednal, Rubery, Frankley and Bartley Green have been absorbed into Birmingham they still retain some of their individual character.
