British and Foreign Topographical Prints Collection
Predominately 19th century commercial albumen prints acquired by the former History and Geography Department. Many images from "Grand Tour" albums including photographs by Robertson & Beato (Constantinople c1854), Felice Beato (Canton and Peking c1860), Carlo Ponti (Venice), Alinari Brothers, Francis Frith, George Washington Wilson, James Valentine, Scowen & Co, and Samuel Bourne amongst others.
