Birmingham 1864, centre and suburbs
This map was published by William Cornish of New Street in 1864. It was based on the latest Ordnance Survey, and was published for 'the Proprietors of the Corporation Directory'.
It shows not only the centre of Birmingham, but also the suburbs that were growing up around it - Harborne and Handsworth in Staffordshire; Edgbaston, Aston, Gravelly Hill, Alum Rock and Saltley in Warwickshire; and Moseley, Sparkhill and Yardley in Worcestershire.
