The Warwickshire Photographic Survey
The Warwickshire Photographic Survey was founded with the intention of recording for posterity the county's architectural and historical heritage. One of the founders was Benjamin Stone who was an early president of the Birmingham Photographic Society. The first photographs were presented to the City in 1892.
The collection is housed in the Library of Birmingham and runs to thousands of images; the Digital Handsworth Project has digitised all of the images relating to Handsworth, Perry Barr, Kingstanding and Oscott.
