Science Library - Transport
We have a collection of over 8,000 reference books covering road, air, sea and space transport, plus a selection of more than 5,000 car and motorcycle manuals in our reference collection. We have a smaller selection of approximately 1,500 workshop manuals displayed on our open shelves which are available for loan. These are added to regularly and we purchase copies of all new 'Haynes' manuals as they are published.
We also maintain a car road test index covering road tests, new car reports, long term and comparison tests from 'Autocar', 'What Car?' and a variety of other sources. You can come in and photocopy these or order them via e-mail. We have access to the 'Virtual Automotive Information Centre' database. You will need to visit the Science Library to use this. It provides fast, regular access to up-to-date automotive information.
