Shakespeare's Birthday Celebrations 2008
On the first hot day of spring, library staff attended Shakespeare's Birthday Celebrations in Stratford upon Avon.
Saturday, 26th April, saw local people going on the streets of the town to take part in the formal procession celebrating the life and work of William Shakespeare. The walk began at the Town Hall, passed Bard's birthplace and finished by laying flowers at his grave in Holy Trinity church.
Staff from theShakespeare Library(Birmingham Central Library) wore the library flag with pride.
