Birmingham Young Poet Laureate 2006-2007

Jennifer Brough was the second Young Poet Laureate for Birmingham

16 year old Jennifer was a student at The Arthur Terry School and was one of more than 70 young people who applied to be our second Young Poet Laureate.

The announcement was made on National Poetry Day, Thursday 5 October 2006.

Jennifer helped to inspire other young poets around the city during 2006-2007 and also worked with the 11th adult Birmingham Poet Laureate, Giovanni Esposito, otherwise known as Spoz.
