The cutting of the first sod at Harborne's Moor Pool Estate 1907
This picture shows the ceremony of the first sod cutting at Harborne's historic Moor Pool Estate. The estate was the first of its kind here and was inspired by John Nettlefold the first Chairman of Birmingham's Town Planning Committee. The first sod was cut by Margaret Nettlefold on 26th October 1907 and the Estate completed in 1912.
