Birmingham Register Office provides Citizenship Ceremonies for Birmingham residents who have successfully applied to The Home Office to become a British Citizen.
You do not need to phone us to arrange an appointment, once you receive your confirmation letter from the Home Office, we will send you an invitation to attend a ceremony automatically.
You only need to contact us if you wish to change your ceremony date or time.

Can I change the date or time of the Ceremony?
Yes, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. However it is unlikely that you will get an earlier ceremony date, as we have very few cancellations.
What do I need to bring with me?
You must bring the original letter from the Home Office and some form of photo ID, such as a passport.
How long does the ceremony last?
The ceremony process lasts around 2 hours. This includes registration and the actual ceremony itself.
Where can I park?
There is on street meter parking in the adjacent roads.
How do I arrange a private ceremony?
Please email us at email@example.com A private ceremony costs £310 and can take place on a weekday at the Register Office, subject to room and staff availability. We can not guarantee that you will be offered a Private Ceremony at an earlier date than the ceremony allocated to you.
