The Theme Group which I chair continues to work hard to implement the Constituency's Economic goals, particularly with regards to
- The Local Centre's Strategy: our Town Centre needs a Town Centre Manager. Sutton's Town Centre is classed as `stable' in the report yet its importance is acknowledged, as it is the only sub regional shopping centre in the City.
- The re-development of Midpoint Park in Minworth has the potential to create a major commercial centre on the site, which is over 105 acres in size. There are significant job opportunities here both before and after construction and we obviously need to ensure that people in Sutton Coldfield benefit.
