Planning Appeal Performance
To ensure planning applications are determined in accordance with adopted national and local planning policies, we monitor applications that have been tested at appeal by the Planning Inspectorate.
A high % of appeals dismissed by the Inspectorate (ie won by the Council) is a good indication that we are making the right decisions, in planning policy terms.
The national average is 64%. This is how we have done over the last few years.
