Greenfield Road Conservation Area was designated in 2009.
Mainly residential in character, the conservation area boasts a wide variety of architectural styles, ranging from modest 19th Century cottages to larger Edwardian and Victorian villas and individually designed residences.
The area also contains a number of listed buildings.
We restricted the types of work often permitted without planning permission to retain the character of the area. This is known as an Article 4 Direction. It means that planning permission is required from us to, for example paint the outside of the building, erect walls and fences or build a porch etc,
A map showing the boundary of the conservation area is below along with the designation report and details of the Article 4 Direction
