Northfield Old Village Conservation Area

Northfield Old Village Conservation Area was designated in 1969. Northield is probably the oldest village now within Birmingham and dates back to Norman times.
In the 19th Century it became the second biggest nail making village in the Midlands.The focal point of the conservation area, however, is the church of St Laurence in its wooded ground.
