Meetings coming up...
Districts and Public Engagement O&S Committee: 23 April at 4pm in CR 6
The Committee will be receiving an update on the new Local Services Directorate from the Strategic Director for Local Services. Members will also be discussing community engagement and Dr Catherine Durose, from the University of Birmingham and Liz Richardson, from the University of Manchester will be attendance to aid the discussion. In addition Members will be agreeing the draft terms of reference for the Inquiry on Community Chest.
Education and Vulnerable Children Overview & Scrutiny Committee 2pm on Wednesday 24th April 2013, Council House
At its final meeting of the municipal year, the Committee will be receiving an update from the Cabinet Member for Children and Family Services , highlighting key areas of work within her portfolio.
The members will also be discussing key developments within Childrens Social Care by examing the Directorates Organisational Development Plan.
There will also be a report on the use of "pupil premium" within Birmingham
The Birmingham Economy and Jobs O&S Committee: 14 May at 2pm in Committee Room 2
The Committee will be discussing the Community Learning Trust (CLT) pilot in Birmingham managed by the Birmingham Adult Education Service. Members will also be receiving evidence for their Scrutiny Inquiry: Support to Micros and SMEs and will be agreeing the next steps for this Inquiry.
