Community TravelWise is a completely free service, which provides community and faith groups with a web-based portal that tailors travel information to their centre. This includes real time information for public transport services, timetables for nearby services, and an electronic journey planning system. There is also a range of information on Ring and Ride, Community Transport, sustainable travel advice and local taxi information. Supporting the web portal will also be various leaflets, timetables and maps, plus advice and information from TravelWise officers.
This provides community and faith groups who join Community TravelWise, with journey information specific to their location, making it available to anybody who would like to join their group. The scheme will also benefit those who would like to get involved in a community or faith group, but are unsure of how to get there.
