Museum and Art Gallery Bombed!
While not a memorial in the strictest sense, this plaque, on the staircase at the at the northern end of the Museum and Art Gallery's Bridge Gallery, commemorates the survival of the museums staff and exhibits, after a bombing raid.
The text reads (all in upper case):
The Second World War
During the night of Nov. 22nd 1940 six of the Feeney Art Galleries were destroyed by a bomb.
