Information, Advice and Guidance for Young People
Birmingham Youth Service provides free, friendly and confidential information, advice and guidance for all young people through all of its youth projects, but most particularly through Base k/s Youth Information Shop and the five main youth work hubs.
Whether you just need basic information or someone to listen, we are here to help. You can call in personally or contact use by phone. Some centres also provide an eMail service.
Base k/s Youth Information Shop provides a drop-in and an appointment service throughout the week. Providing services will be Connexions, Bromford Housing, Working Links, Besure and a midwife will also hold weekly clinics.
Information and advice available for job search, training and apprenticeships, housing and benefits advice and information, contraception information, pregnancy testing and screening for Chlamydia or Sexually Transmitted Infection.
12.00 pm to 5.00 pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
Appointments maybe needed for some services: 1.00 pm to 5.00 pm only.

The five Hubs, at Clifton Rd Youth Centre in the North, The PUMP and the Concord Youth Centre in the East, The Lighthouse in the West and The Factory and the Maypole Centre in the South all provide advice, information and guidance through both their skilled youth workers and through partners who provide sessions at specific times.
