Housing Advice Centres
These provide information, support and advice for roofless people and people who think they may become homeless - perhaps because of eviction, harassment by a landlord or neighbours, or repossession of their home.
It is important to contact one of the Housing Advice Centres or a local customer service centre as soon as you think you may become homeless. They will be able to tell you about the options for housing available to you.
Households who fall into one of the priority categories (see Homeless people who have priority for housing) can access emergency accommodation by going to any police station or telephoning the city council on 0121 303 2296 (out of office hours). During office hours, help is available at customer service centres. (See Facing up to Homelessness.)
Housing Advice Centres do not provide a bed or meals.
