Household Recycling Centres (Council Tips)
Before you throw your items out, have you thought about offering them to someone else for free? Freegle is a free service to advertise unwanted items; if someone wants them they will come to you and pick them up. For anything still usable in any way it is an ideal means of diverting items from the waste stream.
If possible avoid visiting the sites at Bank Holidays as they are always busy.
