Birmingham’s Historic Bull Ring Markets

Birmingham’s Bull Ring Markets are the heart of the city, and have played an important role in its development since 1166.

Over the centuries Birmingham’s markets have provided local people and businesses with quality produce and products at value prices, which they continue to do today.

The three retail markets – Indoor, Open and Rag – make up the Bull Ring Markets and they occupy a modern retail space that draws on the city’s historic street patterns.

They also play an important part in Birmingham’s role as one of the largest retail centres in the UK.

Quality and value

The markets are home to a dazzling range of foods and goods, and traders with character and expertise who can help you find the right item at the right price.

Bull Ring Indoor Market

With 140 stalls, including the famous fish market, the Indoor Market sells fruit and vegetables, confectionery, carpets and household linens, adults’ and children's clothing, fish, meat and game. Open 9:00am-5:30pm, Monday-Saturday.
