All about me
I first moved to Kings Norton, where I live now, in 1971, then ran businesses for multinational companies all round Britain, as well as in Singapore and Australia, before returning to Birmingham 11 years ago.
Previously I headed the faculty of technology for BCU, and now I am a non-executive Director of a Primary Care Trust, in the NHS.
I am Chair of Governors of one school and deputy Chair at another, as well as a trustee of two educational charities.
Originally I trained as a Chemical Engineer, and I have a doctorate in Management.
I am married with two children and seven grandchildren. All the work I do now is to help other people lead worthwhile, healthy and fulfilling lives.
My aims for Brandwood are to improve the quality of life for everyone by improving the environment and prospects for employment.
